IWC Yacht Club R811 1971

€ 1.750,00

Offered here is a beautiful IWC Yacht Club Ref. 811AD, dating to 1971, one of the finest examples of IWC’s golden era of mechanical watchmaking.

The watch features an elegant silver dial that remains in very good original condition, showing only light signs of age and wear. Its timeless design is complemented by the iconic 36 mm C-shaped stainless steel case, which has been very well preserved. The brushed finish and sharp facets are still clearly visible, while the original hallmarks remain fully intact. The watch is also fitted with its original signed IWC crown and a acrylic crystal.

Introduced in 1967 alongside the Aquatimer, the Yacht Club was designed as a sporty yet elegant everyday watch. Released just before the Quartz Crisis, it is regarded as one of the last great mechanical sports watches from the Golden Age of Swiss watchmaking. The Ref. 811AD was the first Yacht Club model and is powered by the renowned Calibre 8541B, featuring IWC’s innovative Pellaton automatic winding system, celebrated for its durability, reliability, and technical excellence. The movement has been fully inspected by our professional watchmaker and is running and functioning exactly as it should.

The watch is fitted with a new 18 mm black leather strap and is sold with a 6-month warranty, our warranty certificate, and a leather watch pouch. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

We thoroughly inspect every watch before offering it through our store and, when necessary, ensure that it is fully serviced. However, sometimes defects arise and therefore we offer a 6-month warranty on each watch purchased. This warranty covers solely mechanical defects (related to the movement) and excludes issues arising from normal wear and tear, accidents, or improper use.

Excluded from the warranty are, among other, the waterproofness of the watch, as well as breaking/loss of the glass, winding stem, winding crown, spring, buttons and pushers and such, and the strap/bracelet. Also excluded is damage caused by falling/bumping of the watch or through the presence of dirt or moisture in the watch.
